Event Description

We are delighted to welcome Kirsty Fenton and Holly Drummond, co-founders of PACE Learning, to lead this practical and inspiring session.

Whether you teach in a primary, secondary or specialist setting, this training day will provide practical, evidence-based approaches that can be tailored to your learners and context.

You will:

Begin by experiencing maths journalling for yourself through a live task. You'll reflect, discuss and record your thinking, gaining first-hand insight into how the approach develops mathematical confidence and understanding.

You will then explore the research behind maths journalling, including metacognition, oracy and learner identity, before sharing real examples from pupil journals, classroom videos and the experiences of children, teachers, school leaders and parents.
