Event Description
We are delighted to welcome Kirsty Fenton and Holly Drummond, co-founders of PACE Learning, to lead this practical and inspiring session.
Begin by experiencing maths journalling for yourself through a live task. You'll reflect, discuss and record your thinking, gaining first-hand insight into how the approach develops mathematical confidence and understanding.
You will then explore the research behind maths journalling, including metacognition, oracy and learner identity, before sharing real examples from pupil journals, classroom videos and the experiences of children, teachers, school leaders and parents.
Take aways:
- A ready-to-use maths journalling task for immediate classroom implementation
- A practical understanding of the six PACE Playbooks and how to embed them in your teaching
- A planning framework tailored to your stage, subject and setting
- The confidence and language to share the approach with colleagues and school leaders
- Valuable connections with practitioners from primary, secondary and specialist settings
PACE Learning is co-founded by Kirsten Fenton and Holly Drummond.
